It was a long day. I woke up around 5:30 am. My longtime bird friend, Buddy, passed away around 7:30 am. Everytime I pass by his cage I automatically say "Hi Buddy" expecting to hear his little chirp. Tonight, when I left for bowling I automatically said "Good boy, Buddy, you guard the house". Still, no chirp. I sure miss the little guy. My team took eight points at bowling, royally trouncing the other team. After bowling I said "Hey Buddy, I'm home". I didn't get my usual warm welcome. I'm tired and am off to get some beauty rest.
